Fabulous day

My roommate and I headed up to Happy Jack for a snow shoe this morning. I always think I've seen it as pretty as it's going to get and then the next time surpasses the last time. Everything was flocked with snow and the wind was minimal. There were sparkly snow crystals in the air and it was heartbreakingly beautiful. It was hard to pick a main but I did put some extras in. I was planning about an hour out but it turned into close to two hours as we completed the loop. I threw another photo of me in as my hair was frosted white from my breath. Now I know what I'll look like with gray hair...lol.
Then this afternoon some friends and I went to a short concert at the Civic Center. My good friend Kevin and his guitar quartet were playing. It was just so lovely and relaxing. They had a really good turnout too. The best part though was my little friend from school takes guitar lessons from Kevin. (His dad is also in the quartet) He said he would play since I really wanted to hear him. I was so touched. He and Kevin did a sweet duet of Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. He did a great job.
