"a bridge"

It's not often that we get to spend quality family time together now that I'm in Dundee, so when you get a glorious summer Sunday like this, you pack up the car with a week's worth of food for a picnic and hit the road! With the rest of the McMorris family living in the Isle of Man and Edinburgh, it was the McHugh side of the family that went on a roadtrip today! Mum, dad, me, uncle john, aunt jenny, cousins david and lorna and granny all ended up at a little place called Carrybridge - water again....see what I mean?!! Drawn to it like a magnet! :)

We found a shaded picnic table and devoured our lunch before taking the fishing rods and the deck chairs out onto the jetty where we parked ourselves for the rest of the day! Regular updates from Jayne as to how Andy Murray was doing in the Wimbledon Final were much appreciated. The sunshine made fishing a hopeless cause although fish were jumping for the flies on the water surface, we just couldn't catch them! At one point in the afternoon I thought I'd caught the largest fish in the Lough when my line got stuck and the rod wouldn't wind in! Turned out I'd got it stuck on a rock, intertwined it with weed and David had to walk the rod round to almost the other side of the jetty to get it unhooked! haha! Ooops!! :)

Family day out completed by a BBQ - and we actually managed to sit outside and enjoy it rather than running inside for cover from the rain - the usual accompainment to a summer BBQ in N.Ireland!

Love days like today - precious time with each other!

Oh, and well done Andy Murray! :)
