"summer sunshine"

Only 3 days back at home and no doubt you are beginning to see a pattern forming here with the blips I've chosen. More water!

This may be a familiar view of Lough Erne for any of you who watched the BBC news coverage of the G8 summit. The BBC's reporter Nick Robinson would broadcast from the grounds of the Killyhelvin Hotel with this stretch of the lakes in the background. Without question, this is one of my favourite views of the lough system at home.

I was asked by our family friend Roy Crawford to be his first speaker as President of the local Rotary Club! Huge ask - major nerves! Although I had spoken to 200 students last September about life at university, speaking to a room of familiar faces from the county is/was a completely different situation! However, with lunch provided for me, and a beautiful bunch of flowers to say thank-you, I managed to get through it, making the subject of fingerprints as interesting as I could. Some audience participation was included and I was glad that there were questions asked at the end as I took that as a sign they were interested in what I had to say. However, people failed to tell me before I started that a top police officer was in the room who knew all about fingerprints! Talk about pressure! :/

3 days at home and so far the weather is blooming lovely! Costa del Fermanagh!! :)
