Portraits
A new experience for me, taking the portrait photography workshop. The instructor and one of the other Photo Society members brought lots of equipment for us to try. Backdrops, reflectors, various flashes and triggers for them. He also brought a couple of helpers with him, guys who are experienced doing portrait photography. He also hired a couple of models for the afternoon, but one of them did not show up. The gal in the extra works at the library where we had rented space, she came in while on a break and allowed us to take some photos of her. A couple of the Photo Society members allowed us to use them as models too.
I had to leave the workshop early so I could come home and change, then cross the city to get to the restaurant that I had booked for the brunch group Christmas party. I ordered a maple brisket dish (brisket, mashed potatoes, mushrooms and crunchy fried onions on top) It was good. Some of the others ordered ribs, and they enjoyed them. The meal, wine and tip came to $45 so I still have $5 left to go towards my brunch tomorrow. We had 15 people there tonight and each of us received $50 from the money raised at the 50/50 draws.
Tomorrow will be another busy day. Brunch, then a photo walk in the evening for some night time photography.
