Very True

Temps have warmed slightly but we still have a blanket of snow on our property. I went out to feed the birds and decided the words on my flag exactly describe our weather. Hubby took our trash and recycling to the convenience center; I emptied the dishwasher. We did miscellaneous small jobs today, the kind you do in January. Hubby started typing in some tax data. I organized cabinet drawers; threw out junk. We are caught up on big jobs so the items at the bottom of the list finally bubble up. But it feels good to only do what we want and relax before spring and all the outside tasks stare at us. We are going to 5:00 Mass. Then it will be Kindle time. The weekend is great so far. Wishing you a calm one. Stay safe. Thanks for stopping by. “Surrendering to the fact of winter is a relief: I am grateful for these lingering days of cold. They offer me a few more weeks of quiet and slow before spring emerges, the wheel picks up speed again, and the sound of its exciting spinning fills my days.” – Kelsi Turner
