It’s Sunday, You Know What That Means
We had a very laid back day. The morning activity consisted of breakfast, putting ribs in the crock pot and showers. Hubby filled the bird feeders again. Wow, we have tons of hungry birds. We headed to Brooklyn’s game which started even earlier than usual. We think the refs wanted to be home before the Commander’s 3:00 kick off. Brooklyn’s team won 26-15 and the ladies shared scoring duties; Brooklyn had six. I am very proud of her leadership example out there. If possible and practical, she passes the ball to a team mate rather than always taking the shot. We planned to have Italian for lunch. So did half of our fellow countians. There was a 50 minute wait so we opted for Mexican. Haven’t had my shrimp and rice for ages so I was happy. We shopped for a few groceries. I plan to make an apple crisp for our visit with my mother and grabbed the ingredients. I honestly do not think we’ll want dinner but Jamie invited us to stop by and get a plate. Hubby can run by there later. I’ve put all groceries away. Hubby is out surveying any damage to our SUV. Someone turned in front of us in the church parking lot last night and cut her wheel so she grazed the corner of our vehicle by the right headlights. I was standing by my car door waiting to get in and saw the car shake. I’m sure hubby can buff out any scrapes. But we were disappointed that she didn’t stop and make sure there wasn’t damage. It is definitely nap time. Wishing you a quiet Sunday. Stay safe. Thanks for your visit. "A person always doing his or her best becomes a natural leader, just by example." - Joe DiMaggio
