I woke up this morning in a bit of a stushie. My phone hadn’t charged overnight and I realised how much I rely on it, especially for train travel..I thought I would have to spend £££s on a new phone, but Sarah plugged it into a different power socket and it was fine.

We took Merry to FaceBark and here she is with her pal Stanley. What a beautiful sunny day! I even felt rhe warmth of the sun!

I’m on my way back to Uckfield now after the usual sad goodbyes. I shall see Sarah and Merry again in March, but I will not see Chris again until the end of May.

I have just heard from D - the power is still off but no trees are down and he is cooking on the woodburning stove :-)
