slipping
This is how everything felt today.
I couldn’t keep my mind on anything for thinking about Storm Eowyn and the damage that it might be wreaking at home. In Uckfield it was very gusty in the wee hours but by 10am the wind had settled down enough for Mum and Dad to walk to Chatty Cafe. This is a weekly event run by the church where they can meet their friends for coffee, cake and activities.I took Dad home afterwards so that Mum could have her hair cut.
There were other things going on today which made me grateful to arrive at Sarah and Chris’s flat later on for some calming company and a tasty meal (Meera Sodha’s Hasselback Celeriac).
I was in the middle of video call with Luke when my phone ran out of battery. Time to recharge and go to bed.
(and that’s why there was no blip from me until now)
