Tonight being Burns Night, we ate our (veggie) haggis, neeps and tatties and I went against tradition by adding some sweet potatoes and cabbage.

We had two extra guests at our table - Joe and Sarah - and an extra guest underneath the table, too - Merry. Sarah and. Chris are going on holiday for two weeks so we (and Danielle and Tom) are puppy- sitting.

Sarah brought Merry here on the train, which was quite a challenge , but they both did very well. Merry is making herself at home here and now it is Jess who is being challenged :-) I have brought her into the living room for a bit of peace and quiet. I’m sure they’ll have a great time running around the garden together in the morning.
