Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Storm Eowyn arrived, but luckily for us on the east coast, it wasn’t at full force. It was just a very windy day, with some big gusts now and again. Lots of small branches and twigs down, but the bins have stayed in place, and there are no trampolines flying around, like last time.

With all the warnings to stay in, it felt like Lockdown again. JR busied herself tidying kitchen drawers, making an oaty/blueberry cake, washing dog toys, dog blankets, and indeed, washing Archie, who is SO furry - that haircut is well overdue. Though he’s cute when he’s so hairy. Actually, he was quietly sick. Three times!

I sorted out a big bag of assorted worldwide plugs. Not really needed now, because most places have built in USB connections.

I took Archie out a couple of times. It was mizzly in the morning, but dry in the afternoon. He kindly posed on the school sign, which had been ripped off the wall.

We called in on Dougal and his mum, and Christine has very kindly offered to look after Archie when we go to Verona! That’s a relief! He and Dougal get on fine, though Dougal is definitely the boss. Even in Archie’s house, actually.
