I’ll have the Margarita, Please
I worked on cleaning up my phone first thing this morning. Mail, photos and messages simply pile up. I went to see my asthma doc who was quite pleased. My lung function is as good as it’s been since I have been their patient. My new med must be doing its job. Had an hour to kill so stopped for a small burger. Visited our library to snap some photos of their sculptures. It was time for Brooklyn’s bus by then. I took her home and tried to find the house that burned not far from us. Hopefully, the damage was minimal because I found no obvious damage to any home on that road. Good news. Hubby has decided he can change out the differential fluid on our vehicles. He is always looking for a challenge. LOL. He shopped for the fluids today. No luck with one so he’s ordering it directly from the company. They explained their product is in short supply because they are moving their company to another state so they temporarily stopped production. Lauren stopped by with the great grands. Isla had fallen asleep on the drive but River was awake and happy to see us. His birthday is soon and he is excited about his party, making sure we are attending. Lauren brought us treats from the thrift store. I traded her for two nice jackets that no longer fit me. We are meeting my sister and BIL at a new TexMex restaurant in town. Abi, our granddaughter, is one of their bartenders. She gave us a gift card for Christmas. This is our first opportunity to visit while she is working. She had to attend classes on making specialty drinks served at the restaurant and we hear she has received rave reviews. Abi took this part time job so she can pay off her new car loan. She’d never work in a seedy bar; this small restaurant should be a safe environment for a young woman. Like her younger brother Parker, she doesn’t let much grass grow under her feet. Wishing you special time with your families. Stay safe. Thanks for your visits. “The greatest accomplishment of a bartender lies in his (her) ability to exactly suit his (her) customer.” – Harry Gordon Johnson
