Success!
I decided to make a sausage and cheese sandwich for breakfast this morning. The green tomatoes I pulled from the garden this fall are in paper bags in the garage. What a joy it was to see this tomato had ripened and was perfect for a sandwich. I’ve really not had much success getting tomatoes to ripen that way. The garage must be the best environment for success. While hubby worked at his computer, I finished getting all the Christmas decorations into storage boxes. We have a few items that are too big for XEROX boxes so I still had to use two bulky containers. We organized the storage room and put everything away until next year. It feels great to have my house back in order. Next job was actually reading all the Christmas cards. During the holiday season, I store them in a basket until life quiets down. Tomorrow’s schedule is full. Friday, I will organize the Christmas gift boxes and store them in the “attic” room behind the spare bedroom. We had lunch and hubby cleaned the bird bath while I filled the feeders. With these low temps, they need a lot of nourishment. Hubby has a Knights’ event tonight. I will catch up with blip journals and read. January and February are my favorite months because life slows down to a crawl. I wish you winter tranquility. Stay safe.
