Carry You Home

We saw Ward Thomas in Lytham only 11 months ago, but you never pass up the chance of seeing someone if they come to your home town - not many music acts have Kendal on their tour itinerary!
Support act was a young lady called Jade Helliwell who played an excellent warm up set of self penned songs. A superb voice - hardly surprising from someone who has been voted BCMA female vocalist of the year three times.
Ward Thomas delivered a polished set of songs, both old and new, and it was great to hear the sisters harmonising as well as ever. I first saw them back in 2017 it’s good that they are still touring and recording, especially when you think there have been marriages, children and a global pandemic in the intervening years!
It was a refreshing change to be in a theatre watching the performance, rather than being on stage, and I had a wonderful evening. Not done a lot else today as I think I have a cold coming on.
Time to batten down the hatches now in anticipation of the arrival of Storm Eowyn…
