Thwarted

Today I was supposed to travel to Manchester to see United play Rangers, then stay over for a meeting with PhD student B at the company that is funding him. However, it was B who flagged up that there would be no trains to Scotland tomorrow. Faced with retuning on Saturday in the aftermath of a storm and cancellations, I decided to stay at home. 

I've also got a lot of work to do in the next week, so was not looking forward to grabbing time to do it on a laptop whilst stuck in a hotel room or on a busy train. In the afternoon, I got some solid programming done. 

As for the game, when Rangers seemed to have grabbed a draw at the end, I felt glad not be at the ground... until United got a winner and shut up the Rangers support.
