Close Encounter

Many thanks for all your kind congratulations on my Blip birthday yesterday. I’m so grateful to you all for the friendship and conversations we share through our blips.

Pouring rain and a dampness filled the air for much of the day, making me feel quite chilled. So it’s been a day of indoor activities as well as a short spell in the garden cutting up the hedge trimmings ready for composting, and of course two dog walks. As I worked in the garden a gold crest appeared in the hedge next to me. What a special sight to have such a shy and tiny bird so close by.

The succulents I was given back in the summer are growing well and I will soon need to pot them on. They no doubt appreciated the appearance of some sunshine this afternoon as much as I did.
