Our view.
The usual early walk but no great sunrise or colourful skies. It did largely stay dry though.
Not so later, the rain arrived at about 10.00 am as predicted.
No matter we were off to Ilkley cinema after lunch. Here you can see our view. Not quite our favourite as we prefer the seat behind ( it had already gone when I booked) but not a bad one. We didn’t see any of the films shown on the screen but we are already booked in to see ‘A Complete Unknown’ about Bob Dylan in two weeks time, we’ve already heard how good it is.
Today we have seen ‘Conclave’, which has been on screen since before Christmas. A reflection of it’s popularity is that it’s still available to book well into February and soon after I took this picture the auditorium completely filled up for an early afternoon showing.
A couple of weeks ago one of my walking friends was talking about the book. I told her we were coming to see the film today so she said she wouldn't tell me the ending. I’m glad she didn't! The whole thing was excellent, Ralph Fiennes brilliant, and the ending had a suitable twist.
A couple more films coming up we might fancy seeing, it’s where we usually find out about them.
A most enjoyable afternoon rounded off with a fish and chip supper!
Take care tomorrow if you are in the path of Storm Eowyn in the UK.
