GO JOE GO !

Back to cricket and . . . the nearby village of Muston is holding their annual Scarecrow Festival. Given the Ashes Cricket Match , and a grand innings by the Aussies, I could not resist this image of Joe Root - looking very apprehensive - by the side of the Flag of Yorkshire. Coincidence or planned ? He looks worried !

You Never Know . . . coincidence in life always amazes me. Here is another one. Last week this was one of my Blips. Yesterday the local newspaper contained this report . . .
. . . Scarborough Lifeboat was called out to a man who had fallen overboard from a boat called Don't Panic !
A helicopter winched the man from the sea. The vessel was 5 miles north of Scarborough when a man fell into the sea. He was unable to clamber back into the boat and the only other person aboard could not pull him back in and was not used to being at sea. However he lived up to the name of the boat by managing to operate the radio and giving a rough location to the Coastguard.
Several other vessels joined the search and the lifeboat rescued the man left in the boat . . .
