Frost-Framed
I know I’m sounding like a broken record this winter - whining about the grey, cold, foggy, dark and damp. Yes, another one of these days.
In the morning, everything was rimmed by white hoarfrost again. In the afternoon, a little rain was falling on the still frozen ground, but thankfully it wasn’t enough to produce black ice.
I was working all day, despite having different plans (like a gym visit). But first thing in the morning, I got an email saying “the editor wants a raw translation of your project now” - which I hadn’t known about. So I need to translate about 20 pages of a (French) script, which I wouldn’t normally do. And I need to finish it as quickly as possible, without getting paid for the extra work.
These things are pushing me towards early retirement more and more.
