Cariocas in Holiday Mode
We both did some work in the morning, then stopped off, just for fun, at a new build apartment block, just round the corner (you can see the ads and space in one of my pics). Thank goodness we both like doing things like this!
Then, at last, we had lunch in Adega Perola! After, of course, a walk through the Antiquary Shopping centre. Small dishes for lunch and a lovely informal atmosphere of Cariocas enjoying a public holiday in full holiday season and weather to boot! We had roll mop, octopus a la vinigreta and some gorgonzola cheese and bread. Delish! Then a short stop at Cafeína on our way back for a siesta. The bairro was jumping at night, in a nice way, and we had a beer in Combinada Carioca (a new place that opened up a year ago, but feels like it's been there forever) and then we shared a mixto sandwich (cheese and ham toastie) and a half portion of chips at 'the local place' - 4th pic on main collage.
The first shot in my extra is where our Wednesday food market is; the middle is Bb outside the entrance to our building; and the last on the corner just across from the Antiquary Shopping centre, which we walk through to reach Adega Perola.
