Building site

A Civtech event in the morning at Codebase.  Princes Street gardens have been emptied of commercial premises; even the coffee/burgers/icecream stand usually opposite the playpark is gone. Mostly the grass looks to be still in place, though it looks rather palid where there were stalls and rides. 

Out by London Road gardens and Regent Road mid afternoon. 6 rabbits on the bowling green and one in the gardens next door. The Calton Road building site, a very tightly constrained space, is making progress; here there's a bucket full of cement with a big hose depending from it about to pour onto the elevator tower. The concrete truck is just visible bottom centre.  There were also two guys walking 10m pieces of rebar along the rebar platform at the right of the site, lifting the bar over their heads to place it at the end of the platform. Whomever is doing logistics for this build has a real challenge. 

8C, very little wind, pleasant to stand and watch. Occasional blinks of sunshine.
