Baby, It’s Cold Outside

We slept in a bit this morning. Just thinking about how cold it was outside, made us want to stay under those warm covers. Once up, my first job was to feed the birds. They need all the energy they can muster in this very cold weather. You can see how this titmouse has ruffled feathers to protect it from the cold. We ate a quick breakfast and started hauling boxes from our second floor attic room downstairs. Our first indoor task was to take down our tree, I know, finally. It takes hours matching ornament to container. We also put away quite a few other decorations but still have a way to go. Of course we watched tv all day. From a woman’s point of view, I was most interested in what the ladies wore. There were stunning outfits. I hope we get to see the evening gowns later. Those little children were adorable as well. Hubby worked on a Christmas gift my DIL gave me. It is a bird feeder with a camera. Unfortunately, our network is newer and does not support this product. We are hoping our SIL, a network whiz, can figure it out. I made potato salad for dinner, a rare treat in this house. We are finished for the day. I will tackle the rest after my dental appointment. Not looking forward to going out. Wishing you protection from this polar vortex if it affects you. Stay safe. Thanks for dropping by. “To few of us here today, this is a solemn and most momentous occasion; and yet, in the history of our nation it is a commonplace occurrence. The orderly transfer of authority as called for in the Constitution routinely takes place as it has for almost two centuries and few of us stop to think how unique we really are. In the eyes of many in the world, this every-four-year ceremony we accept as normal is nothing less than a miracle.” - Ronald Reagan, 1981
