Temporary Place of Worship

We had a pretty lazy Saturday. I spent much of the day creating our WV menu and deciding which items each family will contribute.hubby helped take down the crèche at church and ran his SUV through the car wash. He did my van yesterday. They were both covered with salt spray from the treated roads. He received a text from his best friend in Tennessee. Charlie’s wife has suffered with a debilitating illness for several years. Hospice has told him that her heart is slowing down which can only mean the end is near. We alerted our family that we may be heading back to TN any day. Of course, only God knows the day or hour so we’ll be prepared to leave but wait until we get the word to go. I called my mother earlier. She has been busy a lot lately and unavailable to chat. Today, she was “at church”. I think they were watching a Catholic station and saying the rosary. It is so much better for her than sitting idly at her kitchen table as she was wont to do when she lived alone. We are heading to 5:00 Mass. This will be our first Liturgy in the church hall/gym. The building is not really important when it comes to attending Mass. During COVID, our church in WV moved Mass to the school cafeteria. It worked out fine. The evening should be quiet.
