I spent quite a while this morning on the phone to my travel insurance. I’m supposed to tell them of every medical intervention. So two X-rays recently - bad cough and sore arm - and now - new pills. She would prefer that I rang her each time, not save up a collection. £15 admin fee, thank you.
We were going for lunch to a restaurant we’ve not been before - Cannonball, right by the Castle. Run by the Continis, a long time catering family in the city.
We had the best table - looking out on to the Castle! We had a nice meal, choosing three ‘little plates’, which, the waitress explained, would come out ‘as they were ready’, tapas style. But when we were part way through the (delicious) parsnip soup, the fish and chips arrived. Sorry, no! We sent them back to sit under the hot plate until we were ready. DUH! But I can forgive them anything - they had very quiet, calm background music. Bravo!
We discovered a very nice little bar on the first level. And the building used to be a school!
I came home - a bus arrived at the stop the same time as I did - and took Archie out. He’d had a couple of toys crammed with treats to gnaw at, so was quite happy.
JR’s sore foot/toe is sorted. She’s skipping around.
