All You Need

Sleep was not to be last night. No idea why. I finally pulled out my Kindle around 3:00 am. I think I actually fell asleep after reading a few hours. Hubby got up at 5:00 and I crawled out of bed after 7:00. We left the hotel around 9:00. We picked up bagel sandwiches for Mancil and Madi as a surprise. And then we headed for home. Our only stop until we got to St. Mary’s Co. was for fuel. I was worried I’d not find a blip along the way. Virginia’s slogan is “VA is for lovers.” We saw quite a few love signs while in that state. I thought this one was blip worthy. Kristen made lasagna last night and boxed up some for us. She has the flu, poor girl. I’d picked up a little thank you for all that soup she gave us. Sky was our go between. Next stop was at Mancil’s. He was delighted with his sandwiches. We gave him some NY aged cheddar for Kim. We got home around 12:30, unloaded the SUV and put everything away. Hubby removed the heart monitor and boxed it up to send for evaluation. He went back to Kim’s to deliver brochures we gathered for Mancil/Madi and others for Kim. We also had some tiny hot chocolate marshmallows for Brooklyn. On the way back, hubby dropped off a thank you gift for Parker who stopped by and moved our packages inside while we were away. He was quite happy. That was our last “thanks for the love” drop off by us today. My sister had been at the house earlier. They dropped off a nice jar of vegetable beef soup for us. The temps are very low here and the wind chill is nasty. This soup will warm us all over. Speaking of happiness, Mackenzie passed her written driver’s test this afternoon. All the grands except Brooklyn are driving now. Unbelievable! It feels good to be on my recliner. And I am definitely ready for a nap. No promises on reading journals tonight. Wishing you plentiful rest. Stay safe. Thanks for visiting. “Love is shown more in deeds than in words.” - Saint Ignatius
