Snow Bunting

I believe this is the first time I've photographed a Snow Bunting. It wasn't my primary subject, but my hopes of finding a Snowy Owl within range, ended up to be unrealistic.  I walked for four hours in search of the illusive owls, and managed to find one (with the assistance of a couple of birders), far away and in poor lighting. I've placed a photo in extras, to document the occasion, but the quality is poor.  That's a seagull coming in from the right. The owl happened to be fluffing its feathers, making it easier to identify.

A big thank you for the lovely comments for the female cardinal yesterday.  I wish I had been able to have success with this owl.  Oh well, maybe next time.
