Sights Worth Capturing - To Me, Anyway
We took our time this morning. The kids were all working so we wouldn’t be getting together until dinner. I found some more unique items at the hotel to share. Those chairs and some of the lighting were amazing. They mixed modern with antique and somehow it worked. There was snow from Monday’s storm in Virginia but by the time we got into Tennessee we saw very little. I was hoping to see newborn calves; they just weren’t in the pastures by the Interstate. We got to the next hotel with no problem. As you can see in one frame, traffic was very light. I made another salad; hubby heated more soup and pizza. We had lunch in the lobby. Since the gas fireplace was lit, we read by the fire until hubby picked up Mike. He opened his Christmas gifts and we headed to Bob’s house. He and Jillian also opened gifts, we visited for a bit and are heading to dinner at our favorite BBQ restaurant. We will visit with the boys again tomorrow but may not get to see Riley this trip due to work schedules. Each visit is different. Their jobs are not conducive to getting off just because out of town relatives come to visit. The snow arrived after lunch and it seems we are getting freezing rain at the moment. We passed a few folks who weren’t able to navigate the unplowed pavement. Wishing you safe travels if you have inclement weather. Thanks for dropping by. [Update: Buddy’s is closed because of the snow. We’ll try to find some other place that is open.]. "When you go on a road trip, the trip itself becomes part of the story." - Steve Rushin
