Wicked cold morning! Nice to see the blue sky (from inside the house). Everything was frosted today. I love how the trees look but not how Terry's car looks.
Day 21 of the bin saga and looks like it we'll be lucky if they get emptied on day 22 - more likely to be next week now.
We have stayed in again - we didn't think it a good idea to go shopping - we have plenty of food and drink, so no push to go to Tesco. We will see what tomorrow is like and if not good we'll wait - Sunday looks better if the forecast is right.
I checked the external temperature gauge at some point this morning and thought, oh it's not so bad at 4.4C but then I noticed the minus sign! It did warm up to almost 0C after lunch but it was short-lived.
Terry has been putting extras out for the birds (mealworms and bread) as they are probably struggling. We have had the usual finches and tits coming to the feeders, also a robin and today a wren was looking at the feeders as if trying to work out how to get on them. The blackbirds and robin have been eating the mealworms. I don't know how these little birds don't have frostbitten feet!
Terry has enjoyed the heated throw at times today and his heated gloves.
