Pylons :-(

Indie was in the back garden when I arrived this morning, back door closed, Mum had just woken, but obviously been up & about earlier, but how much earlier. Indie was definately glad to come indoors, she did'nt feel cold, it was dry thankfully. Breakfast made, I decided to walk the lanes this morning with Indie. Plenty of water running off the fields, we completed the Warwicks loop before sleet & snow arrived. I left Mum after making her lunch & headed home. Rang the care company as the forecast was more snow plus a drop in temperature to see how much notice they could give me if the carers could'nt come to Mum. The snow increased, reports of the A38 north bound at a standstill. Hubby wanted me to drive him up to town to drop a silver cross in to someone to clean it. He nearly slipped over on the front path down to the pavement before reaching the car. He wanted to stay for a pint in the pub. I put my foot down & drove him home, he was'nt happy. I watched the snow settling and made a decision to drive back down to Mum while visibility was'nt too bad. Planning to stay the night, grabbed everything bar my medication. Not too much of a problem. Mums gone off to bed.
Just watching the news & the devastating fires in America.
Need to get myself comfy for a night sleeping on the sofa.
