Today’s workout!

Monday
The snow, still very fine, continued to come down throughout the morning which, combined with the very cold temperatures, meant a messy slippery commute for those that still had to go into work. Fortunately, we could just stay home in the warm and watch it through the windows. Further south than us, many areas had to cope with freezing rain on top of that! The snow finally wrapped up around 3 pm, and we wrapped up warm and went out to start shoveling the driveway. We measured the snow on the back patio, and that measured 8 inches, but at the front on the driveway, which is more open, it measured 11 inches, as you can see in the lower right photo! We were hoping our neighbour across the road, who has a snow plow attachment for his ride-on mower, would come out and do his and then maybe finish ours off, which he has done before, but unfortunately there was no sign of him! Originally, we thought we would just clear one side of the driveway, so we could at least get one car out, but in the end we did it all, and cleared the path to the front door! A hot cup of tea and a slice of Christmas cake went down very well after our exertions. Before he came in though, Roger even shoveled his way to the bird feeders, and filled them up, since the birds have been flocking to the feeders in the last few days.
