Same Tree, Different Time, Both Beautiful
We got our snowstorm! They predicted we could get a foot. We haven’t been out to measure but it is pretty deep. We average around 14” of snow each year but some years, we get hardly an inch or two. We expect to stay close to home over the next two days. However, we must be ready to head to TN early Thursday morning. Tomorrow I will pack. We did one load of laundry this morning. I made a pot of soup to share with Jamie’s family - creamy chicken and wild rice with broccoli, carrots, celery, onion and bacon. It is yum. Renee is sharing her vegetable beef with us. Neither family will get tired of one variety. Hubby planned to bring his ATV home from WV but it didn’t work out. I know he is disappointed he couldn’t go out and play in the snow. With his heart monitor, I am glad he couldn’t. Our neighbor has a snow blower. He cleaned our driveway. It was still snowing so the surface is covered again. Schools are closed today and probably tomorrow. Parker, my over industrious grand, is above Baltimore, with a friend, plowing snow in parking lots. He’s been up there since 2:00 am. That boy. He wants to purchase his own work truck so he takes any job he can find. I have cautioned him not to get burned out but he says all his different jobs are like playing, he loves being busy. Hubby repaired my bird feeder. I can use it for mealworms for the bluebirds. We had quite a variety of birds at the feeders today. Many of them live in this spruce tree. I took one photo at first light and the other later in the day when it was really snowing. I couldn’t decide which I liked best so I shared them both. Hope you enjoy them. So glad our neighbor planted it at our property line. We get more enjoyment from it than they do. Wishing you plenty of enjoyable scenery this week. Be safe. Thanks for dropping by.
