Bit of a bind

Today, finally, was the day to cut the strips and join them to make the binding for the quilt which came back from the long arm quilter in mid december. How exciting!! It didn't take long to cut the 7 strips required then joined them on the bias to make one long strip, ironed it in half and the photo shows me sewing it onto the quilt front.. just the hand sewing on the back to go after that (one side completed already!) The other three sides will be done over the snowy weekend we are awaiting.  We woke to another extremely frosty morning.. down to -7C last night and anything in shadow did not that at all today .. I think we may get some freezing rain which could be messy.. we will see.
I also cleared the ironing pile (while doing the fun binding) and managed to do some drawing, watched part two of the new Traitors and played a game.. hence late with my blip today!
I shopped and cooked as well.. and had some good news that my old cleaner has found me another person to come and clean starting at the end of the month.. what a relief! Now to tidy up before they come! I dont know about anyone else but usually in the build up to Christmas lots of things get shoved elsewhere to hide them out of sight.. now I need to unearth them and sort them out properly.
I heard a good phrase that I am trying out for now.. it is January so don't just put it down.. put it away. Let's see if that works!
