Ochil Hills
A public holiday in Scotland. A very cold, crisp day. There is still some lying snow along with some frost. Where the snow melt there is now black ice so I wasn't sure about going out. Thankfully, once I get out, the ice isn't as thick as it looks, so grip wasn't a problem for most of the walk. The temperature was still below 0degC. So I don't go higher up as paths that were slushy yesterday would be solid ice today. It did feel nice and crisp in the sunshine. Back home for morning coffee.
In the afternoon, partner and I do the exact same walk as I did in the morning, around the park and White Lady Wood. It does feel a little warmer than the morning, but still around 0. There hasn't been any snow melt, but some of the frost and some black ice has gone. While I did take some photos on the walk, the best photo was taken from the house.
In the evening, we go out for a meal at Mowgli Street Food. They have a special Christmas feasting menu consisting of several dishes, the selection of four main dishes being entirely pot luck. The mains we had were very tasty vegetarian dishes, a spicy potato dish, chickpeas, paneer and daal. Along with rice, there were fenugreek kissed fried and Himalayan Cheese Toast with a lovely lime pickle.
