Nigella damascena

I love this flower. That's right, there's only one in our garden and no buds so I seized the moment. Other species of nigella include the N. sativa, whose seeds are known as black cumin, an essential ingredient of my Sri Lanka lime pickle of which I made heaps when we still had a lime tree. There are another two lime trees on the go which one day will produce abundantly.
