Making itself inconspicuous

I had several goes at photographing this Australasian swamphen. It was hiding in the long grass and hell to focus on. It looked a bit like it was trying to build a nest - a bit late in the season but who am I to say? Anyway I've tagged it for Silly Saturday (in memory of Admirer) because I think it looks a bit goofy, in a pretty bird kind of way.
