Welcoming 2025

… last night. Once again spending the evening with long time friends and enjoying a wonderful meal before heading outside to join many others on the hill and watching the fireworks’ display by the river.

Today I am SO grateful for everything Sam is doing and helping me to do for Iris. Together with her brother and another relative we have planned her service and started other important administrative jobs. I have known her for only a short while but we get on so well and I cannot express enough how full my heart is for her generosity of time and her willingness to share her many skills. There is much to do but today we have made lists/ spreadsheets and that has made everything possible and feel less of a mountain.

Yet another person who has come into my life and has made such a difference. A real blessing. I echo the words of my journal of New Year’s Eve last year. So very true; we don’t go into these difficult times alone.
