Happy New Year!
I went for a drive around Cow Bay and Rainbow Haven this morning, hoping to see some birds, but there were not many around. I had to be home this afternoon as the guys who did the insulation in the attic were coming back to add more. I didn't want to leave the cats shut in the bedroom all day. I'm glad that I waited till after they left to go for a walk. They were 1.5 hours late showing up. The cats only had to be shut in the bedroom for an hour while they were here.
Most of the snow has melted, but I am not sure what the wooded trails are like at Shubie. I went to Sullivan's Pond later this afternoon for a walk. There was a mixed flock of scaup, ring necked ducks, mallard, black ducks and one American wigeon.
When I was taking some photos, another couple stopped for a chat. The gentleman runs a FB group for Sullivan's Pond and he asked me if I would post some of the photos in the group.
I posted some of the photos from Peggy's Cove in a Nova Scotia FB group and some of the photos of the Christmas lights on Connaught Ave in a Halifax group. The Christmas lights post has over 300 likes. The Peggy's Cove post is in a public group, it has over 1000 likes and has been shared by more than 80 people. I needed that this week.
Thanks for all the comments, stars and favorites for my 3 year anniversary post. Blip has become an enjoyable part of my day. There is no drama here, unlike FB. Although there has been some hilarious posts in one group over the past few days. The story became known as 'piegate'. I don't believe it actually happened, it was just something someone started out of boredom and it went viral in the group.
Happy New Year to all, and may 2025 be a peaceful and joyful year.
