Touring

The weather forecast for this week wasn't promising by any stretch of the imagination, but today was clear and dry, so we decided to go for a long drive, taking in the northern promontory of Skye.

We went up to Portree and then took the eastern coast through Staffin and Flodigary, all the way to Duntulm, and then back down through Uig. It was an epic trek and I loved every minute of it.

The scenery was stunning all the way around, although the rock formation in today's Blip held our attention for a long time: you could see it from miles away. It's obviously a local feature; when we finally arrived at its base, there was a large car park and tearoom!

I took the first Extra, looking north, just as we were leaving The Cottar, this morning, and the other one, looking south, when we got back.
