The Cottar

Up early this morning to drive from Kirkby Lonsdale to Skye. We timed it pretty much perfectly, leaving as the sun was rising and then arriving just after it had set. 

The journey itself was wonderful, taking in all manner of fantastic scenery and including breakfast at Tebay services and lunch at The Green Welly in Tyndrum. 

The pace we're staying, a few miles north-west of Broadford is gorgeous, another great find by the Minx. Just one room, with a bed and dining table at one end and a kitchen and living area at the other, and a fireplace at either extreme. (And then a separate bathroom.)

We unpacked, lit the fire at the living room end, and settled in, enjoying pies, mash, and baked beans for dinner. Heaven.
