..move closer..

Been strimming today. Got an e-mail from I saying his sister was coming to stay while she visited their mother. So I thought I'd better strim his lawn (he works in Korea, a bit far to come for the weekend!!).

And as Cath is coming up tomorrow, thought I'd better tidy up our bits of grass too. Then I did down by the chicken run, and then down onto the croft to do around the fruit trees, and around the walled garden, and around the compost bins, and around the exposed rocks of the old stone wall that divided the croft..

Weeded around the lettuces in the walled garden, and that was enough for the day.

Donald, my new lens came today, so after a quick tea of salad and garlic sausage, it was out on the hill to play. It's a Sigma 105 mm macro lens, and after about 50 shots, I can say I'm really pleased with it. It's a bit heavier than I was expecting, but the detail is superb. Pictures of grasses, and lichens, wild flowers, and this green veined white butterfly feeding on knapweed. Expect lots of close up macro shots from now on..!!
