Culicoides impunctatus..

..also known as meanbh-chuileag, and the midgie. About 3 or 4 mm in length, they are very difficult to see, except when they appear in swarms. Tonight is one of those nights. And you don't know they're there until you start scratching, and then it's too late..

This one is trying to escape through the kitchen window. It won't make it..

Been busy harvesting today, as G didn't get back until late afternoon.

Delivered veg, and got a crab for tea..

Almost changed my blip as we've had the most amazing double rainbow arcing high in the sky, with a second, fainter one outside, and a third linking the base of the first to the side of the second.. Never seen that before.. Picture here (hope this works)..
