Oedipus….

This morning I went for a swim and much busier than usual.

Then up to London with a friend and after a wander round Somerset House Ice Rink , Covent Garden and lunch we went to see the new Oedipus play.  It is set in modern times but is based on  the original story. Two hours of intense acting with no interval. Lesley Manville and Mark Strong were both excellent. However it was not a cheerful thing to watch….I enjoyed the Nutcracker I saw on Saturday more!

Not quite as cold today and not quite so many people in London. Also see extra…the Hippodrome just opposite the theatre. Part of this used to be Talk of the Town Night Club that I remember going to a very long time ago before it closed.
