Sunday ...

... Funday.

I had read a while ago that the beautiful Banana Factory Arts and Education Center will be torn down to make way for a new and improved (?) building.  And that's rather sad in my opinion.  

The existing building (as you see it here) will be closing to the public on December 31 so we made the short drive in order to get our final pictures ... inside and out.  As you can see there are many beautiful mosaics on the the building itself ... and I don't know what they plan on doing with these to preserve them ... if anything.  There are many more than these that you see in my picture. I do hope they plan on trying to save them ... if possible. 

After our visit to the Banana Factory we drove to Burnside Plantation for a short walk. The weather was a balmy 62° F but with cloudy skies.  Tomorrow promises to be another warm one.  It's a nice way to wrap up 2024 ... especially here in the Northeast.
