The Scottish family - or most of them

One of Susan’s great nieces had a “toy” camera for Christmas which printed out the images on thermal paper. She’d stuck those taken on Christmas Day a sheet of paper so we did the same today.

A grand family gathering for lunch which was to also be a memorial for Doreen for those of the family who couldn’t get down to Kent for her funeral.

We had a shortened eulogy then showed the photos which were used at her service which caused much excitement and interest with her 7 great grandchildren as they also saw their parents as babies and grown up.

The event was rounded off by many family members performing short pieces. There were violin solos and duets, piano recitals, recorders, karaoke singing, a spot of ukulele playing and a karate demonstration.

So, 12 years on. None of the great grandchildren were born when I started this journey on 1st January 2013. Now the eldest is 11 going on 16. I’ve chosen this rather makeshift collage as it’s full of people and its people that make blip what it is.

From all of you who follow me, new and old, who add your comments and share our life experiences, I value you all immensely. Thank you. And thank you to BlipCentral who make all this possible.
