Chairs, books and rain

More wet weather today - maybe it's always going to be like this!! I hope not. Spent the morning inside, sorting Christmas stuff, watering houseplants, cataloguing book presents, nothing too exciting.

When the ladies came back from the shops they said that Homebase had a few pieces of furniture going cheap. Our Oban store is closing and 'Everything Must Go'! My Blip today. I've been think of getting another chair - my favourite Ikea chair which I've had for years is no longer comfortable. It's more likely to be me than the chair, but I can't relax in it anymore when I sit down with a cuppa after dinner. 

I went down town to try it out and sat in in for nearly 15 minutes. A lady was sitting on a small sofa opposite for the same reason, so we had a chat while we were waiting for results! We wondered if we should ask for a couple of mugs of hot chocolate to be brought over! I eventually decided against buying it - when I stood up my back was sore. A shame, as it was 50% off, but there didn't seem much point. And anyway, whoever would buy a chair called Alex!

Back home for a cuppa in my old chair and a re-re-re-run of a Waltons episode.
