2024 Tuesday — Candlelight Celebration
We celebrated Christmas today on the 24th, because we knew that tomorrow would be just the two of us having dinner; our daughter needs to get back to SoCal. She’s been here for several days and we’ve had lots of fun moments.
So here's the recap, the wonder of today with words and photos, so that I can remember them.
We prepared our Christmas meal early in the day so we could dine mid-afternoon and then attend church at 5:00 p.m. Our holiday meal was delicious. We prepared the traditional Christmas turkey dinner.
Then being full from eating made staying awake in church a little difficult. The Candlelight Christmas Eve Worship Celebration was so very lovely and special. The music, the message, the congregation, Pastor Luke, AND the candles.
As Christ followers our holiday includes the factual historical account of a babe born in a barn, of wise men following a star, of our God who became a Savior . . . these facts impact our forever. Then there is the other side of Christmas . . . some of the story is pure fantasy. Mr. Fun & I enjoy both parts and we recognize the difference. So does Santa!
It’s Christmas Eve!
Good night from
California’s Central Coast,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
and Chloe & Mitzi too!
