Hydrangeas to spare
In this area there re many hydrangea growing wild on banks beside the roads, as well as more contained growth in many properties. The large blue hydrangea has grown mightily since we have been here.
Yesterday I wanted to access some pots which the hydrangea has grown over. I traced a branch with only leaves and no flowers back to a bigger branch and selected to cut that.
Whoops.
Also branching off the branch I had identified were a number of flower stalks. So: I took a blue pot from where I had cleared, Gave it a bit of a clean. Because it had no exit hole in the base, I treated it like a vase, putting water in it. We then put the pot/vase on the deck, although for some reason the blue flowers are showing as white.
Did a lot of clearing this afternoon.
