baking

This will be my final batch of mince pies. I made them while listening to some carols (recorded) from King’s. That’s about as traditional as Christmas gets in this house.

All was peaceful after yesterday’s foray into town. Jess and I headed up to the forest at lunchtime. I saw four Openreach vans trying to get our internet working where a fallen tree had brought down the cables. Plus a lot of delivery vans and our postie making last minute calls. There will be plenty of people working tomorrow, too…

Sarah phoned me (she has been working from home today). She and Chris will be ringing the bells for Watchnight service tonight - Merry will be sitting in the belfry with them :-) She has her own special hook.(see extra)

I had a nice FaceTime call with Luke and Maria, too, while they cooked their dinner.
