LIFE!!!

The sky was blue, but my walk was scary at times, with a north westerly wind roaring in the trees up on the hill and gusting at times to make even big trees sway and creak. I hurried home and stayed in  for the rest of the day and even now, I can't really settle as I can still hear the roaring outside in  the dark.

I have started another hat - this time it is for me and in a different pattern, which I found on Ravelry - the beanie from last year's Shetland Wool Week. I'm looking forward to getting stuck into that over the next few days.

I also finally got around to scanning and printing my Granddad's memoirs for Cousin Tim, who asked me about them in February. They cover the first 14 years of his life, up until the beginning of WW1, and are fascinating. His father died of TB in 1905, leaving my great grandmother with four young children to care for. Difficult times..
