Tide's a long way out

This morning, when I went on my walk, the tide was further out than we have ever seen it. There was sooooo much beach for me to play on. It was great!

There was so much beach that it took us almost 2 hours to walk along all the beaches in town. And then guess what I found when I got to the end of Porthminster Beach?...................... A manky old ball. Yay!

Since we came back to Cornwall at the end of November, I have found 8 manky old balls. How fabulous is that? My 'manky old balls' box is full to overflowing. Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to keep them all. Ann is going to wash them and then I have to donate them to the ' NAWT' for all the little doggies that don't have such a nice life as I do. Not sure if we're going to have time to do that before Christmas though. It might have to be a January 2025 present for them.

Ann still doesn't know what she's working over Christmas/NY. Her work rota starts on a Thursday. It's Monday evening now and she probably won't find out what she's working over Christmas until Wednesday evening???? It drives her mad! Admitedly, if there's something she really wants to do, ie the Boxing Day swim, she can usually get time off. But that's not the point. If people knew what they were working, then they could plan the rest of their life accordingly. Ie, it would be nice to have a few friends in for pre Christmas drinkies & nibbles, but probably by the time Ann knows what she's working; everyone will be busy doing something else. Grrrrrr................. It's not even as though the rota's are difficult to do.............. There's only about 8 members of staff. It's not exactly rocket science?

Oh and in other news.................. Continuing on with the TV saga (see here & here).................. New TV is being delivered tomorrow, sometime between 7am and 7pm. Apparently Ann will get a text later tonight with a 2 hour slot. Well that's not really much use to her as she's working 10.30am-3.30pm tomorrow and was stressing about who she could get to sit in the house (with me) if the 2 hour slot is between those times. Problem solved................... There are two very lovely builders in the house next door, because they are totally refurbing it. They are going to be working there all day tomorrow so if the 'two hour slot' falls within the times that Ann is working, they have said that they will take it in for her. Phew.................
