Knitting fun
Another miserable grey day but at least a little less damp than yesterday!
I’ve been finishing a jerkin for Grace since confirming measurements at the weekend when she was here, but I needed some other knitting yarn today which took me up to Coldspring Mill in Cullingworth this morning.
When Eda was a baby I knit a nativity set for her, you can see it on the shelf behind the girls in my 5000th blip last year. Grace has put it out again this year and told me it has been much admired by her builders! She then reminded me that it still didn’t have a camel! The pattern didn't include one and a friend of mine who did it made one from another pattern but I felt it was out of proportion. I’ve acquired a pattern and just hope this one looks a reasonable size.
No oddments of suitably coloured wool hence my trip to the mill. I was taken by the knitted flowers at the door and the bike which I have seen before. Inside were the two ‘Chicken Run’ characters which were fun, I thought they were all nice and colourful for blip and a change from Christmas.
I bought a ball of yarn called Haworth Tweed so such wish me luck with the camel!
The rest of my morning was spent at Tittle Tattle followed by Book Group
I had planned on blipping my first Hellebores opening for Flower Friday but it’s such a dark day I couldn't get a crisp shot.
Happy weekend everyone, the penultimate one before Christmas!
